Goodbye to our friend Charley

We are all very very sad here today:

Our special Airedale friend Charley crossed the Rainbow Bridge late yesterday.

Our hearts go out to Jane, we know the pain she is feeling.

Charley lived a good life, starting out in Canada and he then moved to Australia with his human dad Peter. Sadly Peter passed away about 2 years ago and Charley and his Dale brother Sam moved in to Jane and Mr Periwinkle's home, as they were bestest friends already.

We know Jane and Mr P and Sam will miss Charley so very much.

There is a new star in the night sky - Shine on darling Charley.

Our hearts are heavy and our tears are falling.

Jo, Miss Ellie and Bazzy.

They are home

Woo hoooooo, they are finally home.
Bazzy and I were so so happy to see them.
We jumped all over them - yes even me, Miss Ellie jumped for joy all over my mummy and daddy.
Then we followed them all over the house, every room they went in, we followed.
Now they are home we are not letting them out of our sight - just in case!
We got mega cuddles from mum, I think she must have really missed us.
Poor mum was really tired after such a long flight home from that USA place. She swears she is never ever doing a long flight like that again.
Mum, Bazzy and I all had a real nice sleepies together on the big bed in the afternoon.
Daddy slept too, but in his special daddy recliner chair in front of the big telly.
So life is all good now - our pinkies are home, we are happy and so far mum has not heard any bad stories from Elizabeth.
Although Elizabeth did dob on Bazzy.
Silly little muppett man ate one of daddy's slip on shoes. Chomped it to bits in fact.
Elizabeth left the remenants of the mangled shoe in a plastic bag for daddy. She is such a dobber LOL.

No doubt mum will ring her today to get all the info on what we got up to.
Lucky I was a good girl ey?

Miss Ellie.

The Suitcase

Uh oh, the suitcase is back.
It hasn't been around for a while now, but all of a sudden it came back yesterday.
Mum had it on the bed and was happily putting clothes in there (stupid Bazzy just lay on the bed and watched her - he could have helped by taking everything out!)
Silly Bazzy doesn't know what the suitcase means.
But I DO.

It means the pinkies are leaving us. They haven't left us for ages and now they are. And it usually means we are not going with them.

Elizabeth is coming on Friday, she is looking after us while the pinkies go off on their big holiday to the USA.
I guess it will be ok, Elizabeth lets us get away with lots of stuff that mum tells us NO for.

Bazzy has never had the experience of the pinkies being gone for more than one night, so I bet the little monster cries up a storm once he realises his mum is gone for two whole weeks.
Geez he can still be a cry baby.
I will be ok. I know they always come back.

We will have to hatch up a plan to make them feel guilty for leaving us..........yes we will do that!

So we may not be able to post for a while.
Somehow I don't think Elizabeth will turn the laptop on for us like mum does.

Miss Ellie and Bazzy
(what does the suitcase mean big sissie??)

Walkies

Woo hoo, Woo hoo, Bazzy got to go walkies.
2 times now Bazzy has been out with mum for little walkies.
1st time was with daddy and Miss Ellie too, that was a great walkies, Bazzy jumped all over the place, soooo excited to be out. And the best part of all was that all the houses had their junk out on the front lawn waiting for the council to come and take it away.
We got to sniff at everything and climb over piles of old furniture and junk. Bazzy even took some stuff and carried it off. It got a bit heavy so I dropped it, then daddy had to pick it up and put it on someone elses junk pile.
2nd walkies was just me and my mum. Bazzy likes those walkies best. Bazzy was very good boy.
A little boy that lives at the end of our street asked mum was Bazzy a Wire Fox Terrier - mum had to explain that I am indeed not, but a very special Airedale Terrior.
Little boy gave me a pat.....Bazzy likes that.

So Bazzy be a happy boy now. Still is limping sometimes, but not always. Dr Steve says mum can walk me on little walks every 3 days so long as limp doesn't get worse.
Bazzy weighed in with Dr Steve last Saturday at 25.9kg.
Dr Steve be happy with Bazzy, and gave Bazzy big cuddles, so Bazzy licked his nose.

Yay...
